Nicola began her career with a major high street bank. She took a career break to start her family and returned to the world of work in estate agency.
She decided to pursue a career in the Legal Profession and studied to become a Legal Executive, subsequently becoming a Chartered Legal Executive in the 1990s. However as is the case with most Costs Draftsmen/Costs Lawyers she fell into a career in costs, and has been in Legal Costs for some 20 years.
She is a Costs Lawyer and as such enjoys the benefits of the Association of Costs Lawyers and has rights of audience in courts across the country on all costs related matters.
In the course of her costs career, she has had a business in her own right, spent some 15 years working in house for a major North West firm of solicitors and then became Head of Costs at a prominent North West firm which specialises in motor cycle claims and spinal injuries. She was tempted away from her in house roles by what was an up and coming Merseyside Costs firm, and managed their Knowsley office. She then decided to put her years of experience to good use and joined with her friend and colleague Graham to form Professional Cost Consultants Ltd.
Graham has 30 years experience in Litigation comprising of the whole range of cases from straightforward RTA claims to Clinical Negligence cases and multi million pound commercial cases.
Graham also dealt with costs during that period of time. Prior to forming Professional Cost Consultants he concentrated on costs, being a Senior Law Costs Draftsman for a large Northwest Costs Company and managing their Manchester office.
In light of Grahamís extensive experience he decided to join with his friend and colleague Nicola to form Professional Cost Consultants Ltd.
Grahamís practical experience in Litigation and Advocacy is a real benefit to clients on a technical and practical basis. It is also of practical assistance in preparing Costs Budgets.
Out of the office Graham is a dedicated St Helens Rugby League fan.
